What to wear?

Let's start with your shoes.  You must wear a shoe that covers your feet.  No sandles or flip/flops allowed.  Your shoes will get ruined.  Your best bet is to wear an old pair of tennis shoes.  I don't suggest boots because they are heavier and if we're walking, they'll tire you out

Now for your pants.  I suggest you come in layers.  Have a pair of shorts then a pair of long pants on top or better yet, rain pants.  In the morning, it's cold and wet.  By late morning, it heats up and you'll want to take the rain or regular long pants off so you have your shorts the rest of the day while it's hot.

Same thing goes for the shirt.  Have a short sleave shirt underneath and either a sweatshirt or again, rain gear on top.  Once it heats up, the sweatshirt or rain gear goes and you have the short sleave shirt the rest of the hot day.

I suggest wearing a hat with a visor to help keep the sun off your face.

Finally, you'll be given gloves and eye protection that must be wore out in the field at all times.  See Safety for more details.

LUNCH:

You'll want to pack a good lunch in a personal cooler.  We supply water, but if you want to bring some for your lunch, that's fine.  You may want pop or juice with your lunch, it's up to you, but just make sure you have plenty to eat.  You'll be suprised how hungry you'll get.

Sunscreen:

I suggest you bring sun screen.  Even if you've spent a lot of time in the sun already, you will still get very burned.  You'll be out in the direct sun all day.  You'll NEED sun protection.
